1985年太原工业大学金属材料专业本科毕业,并留我校直属表面工程研究所(研究所已于2015年8月并入我校材料学院)所从事科研工作;1995年北京科技大学金属材料专业获工学硕士学位;1998年西安交通大学金属材料专业获工学博士学位,2002年至2003年在比利时鲁汶大学(Katholieke Universiteit Leuven)冶金材料系(MTM)从事薄膜力学性能方面的博士后研究。
多年来,在表面改性技术、摩擦磨损及腐蚀性能等方面进行了一些探索性基础研究工作。在国家自然科学基金及其他省部级科研项目的资助下,自主研发、改造了一些表面改性技术及装置,建立起有自身特色的改性层摩擦-电化学噪声同步在线试验装置,并对典型表面梯度改性层及硬质耐磨涂层的摩擦学及腐蚀-磨损失效机理进行了探讨,发现腐蚀-磨损条件下,适当的表面合金梯度层或渗-镀复合层的相关性能指标较单一涂层体系具有优势。有关涂层结合强度及摩擦学性能方面的研究成果获陕西省2004年度及山西省2008年度科学技术二等奖。在工程研究领域主持完成多项应用类课题,其中主持完成了“863”探索导向课题(2007AA03Z521)及“863”重大专项(2002AA526013)子课题,研究结果得到了专家和企业认可。
现指导在读博士研究生5名,硕士研究生6名。近五年来,所指导毕业的研究生中有5人次荣获“研究生国家奖学金”、4人毕业学位论文荣获“山西省优秀研究生学位论文”;截止2016年9月与研究生、博士后及表面工程研究所同事先后合作发表SCI收录学术研究论文90余篇。

Current Research
Steel and Titanium alloy surface modification processing using Plasma Surface Alloying and corrosion-wear mechanism using triboelectrochemical noise.
Biography
He was appointed director of the Institute of Surface Engineering in 2004. Previously (2001) he had been active as a professor in the institute researching steel and Titanium alloy surfaces modification processing and their wear- corrosion behaviours. He was also conducted his post-doctoral research in MTM (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven 2002). His Ph.D. was obtained in School of Materials Science and Engineering (Xi’an Jiaotong University 1998) addressed the properties and bonding strength of IBED CrN coating. His B.A. was in School of Materials Science and Engineering (Taiyuan University of Technology, 1985). He is a member of the China Electrotechnical Society.
